About Book Strapper: The Book Strapper Story and Philosophy
Like many of the world’s inventions, the Book Strapper was born of necessity. It is the brain child of Phil Cox, who came up with the idea during his sophomore year in college. Every other school day, Phil had only two classes, so he really didn’t need to bother with his bulky school bag to carry two books and a couple of notebooks. Phil started thinking of ways to hold his books together and still be able to carry them by his side. He found his inspiration in the waist belts that were used in the old days to hold schoolbooks together. With that as his model, Phil experimented with different designs, and the Book Strapper was born.

The Book Strapper philosophy is a simple one: to provide a hip, new way for students to carry books without having to worry about them sliding apart and dropping them. Not only does the Book Strapper look great, but it's also functional. Every student in a hurry who has ever lost control of their books and dropped them while rushing across campus knows what a frustrating – and embarrassing – moment that can be. The Book Strapper keeps books in a tight stack, making it impossible for books to slide apart from one another. It’s the ideal answer for students whose schools have banned backpacks on campus. It also allows students to toss their books anywhere, like the front seat of the car, and rest assured that they will stay together. What could be more secure?
